Rental Terms & Conditions
Key terms for hiring from Quayline Cars. Read these before requesting a vehicle.
Summary of supplied 2026 rental documentation. Final booking conditions and insurance eligibility must be confirmed in writing before hire.
Driver eligibility
Drivers must pass identification and driving-licence verification before vehicle release. The Civic Type R requires 25+ and a full UK/EU licence held for 24 months. The SVR is currently presented as 30+ with 36 months’ licence history, pending insurer and operator confirmation. The supplied documents specify 28+ for the SVR and disagree on whether 24 or 36 months’ licence history is required. A maximum of six minor penalty points is stated; major convictions or disqualifications may make a driver ineligible.
Identity and documents
A valid DVLA share code generated within 21 days of the hire date, government-issued photo ID, and two proofs of address dated within the preceding 60 days are required under the agreement. Only approved authorised drivers may operate the vehicle.
Hire rates and deposits
Weekday hire (Mon–Thu): SVR £350/day; Civic £225/day. Weekend hire (Fri–Sun, minimum two days): SVR £475/day; Civic £295/day. Three-night Friday PM to Monday 10 AM package: £1,250 SVR, £750 Civic. Seven consecutive days: £2,250 SVR, £1,450 Civic. Refundable security deposits are £2,500 SVR and £1,500 Civic, pre-authorised on the primary hirer’s credit card at least 24 hours before release. Bank and payment-network authorisation time limits may affect longer hires; payment implementation is not yet active.
Mileage and fuel
100 inclusive miles per 24 hours, cumulative over the hire; 700 miles per seven days. Excess mileage: SVR £2.50/mile and Civic £1.75/mile (the agreement specifies plus VAT). Optional prepaid mileage: SVR +100 £180 or +250 £400; Civic +100 £120 or +250 £275. Only Super Unleaded fuel of minimum 98/99 RON is permitted. Keep itemised fuel receipts and return with a full tank.
Vehicle use and monitoring
Private and ordinary business road travel on paved roads in mainland Great Britain is permitted. Racing, track days, drag racing, off-road driving, towing, passenger or courier hire, unauthorised drivers, pets, smoking and vaping are prohibited. The supplied agreement describes GPS and driving-behaviour telematics, including speed and engine monitoring; the website does not currently provide live telematics functionality.
Insurance, condition and return
The agreement states comprehensive self-drive hire insurance subject to insurer terms and verification, with an excess of £2,500 for the SVR and £1,500 for the Civic. A recorded walkaround and signed condition report are required at handover. Damage, fines, refuelling shortfalls and late returns may result in charges under the signed agreement. The agreement aims to release deposits within three to five business days after inspection and telematics review, subject to bank processing.
Important note
This page is a customer-facing summary of supplied draft documents QP-MRA-2026-V1 and QP-RC-2026-V1, not a replacement for the complete signed Rental Schedule and Master Vehicle Rental Agreement. The supplied documents contain differences in SVR licence requirements and fleet naming/colour. Legal enforceability, penalties, privacy notices, monitoring practices and insurer permissions require professional review before this site accepts binding online bookings.
